These extra-heavy duty aluminum mailbox posts are electrostatically powder-coated to provide years of maintenance-free use. Unlike wooden posts which require painting and split after a few years; or cast iron posts which rust, our posts are built to last and will never split or rust. Don't be surprised if this is the last post that you'll ever have to buy! Each post comes with brackets to fit almost any 8" wide mailbox. Post dimensions: Full 4" square, 72" H. These posts will ONLY fit with a medium size 8" wide x 21" long mailbox and NO OTHER! They cannot be made to fit any other size of mailbox without ruining the post.
